Synthesis and catalytic behavior of FCC catalysts obtained from kaolin by the in-situ method

Abstract In-situ zeolites NaY and Na[B]Y were synthesized on microspherical matrices of kaolin to obtain FCC catalysts. An alkaline pretreatment the matrix was investigated in order evaluate its effect properties crystallization in-situ synthetized zeolites. Catalysts characterized by SEM, TEM, Ar adsorption, XRD NH 3 -TPD. It observed an increase surface area mesoporosity treated catalysts either with presence boron or no hydrothermal reaction mixture. Ammonia TPD analyses have shown amount strength acidity catalysis crystallized pretreated exchanged lanthanum ions. Thus, a combination between higher concentration stronger acid sites proportion mesoporous generated solution had resulted more active catalyst as triisopropylbenzene cracking experiments conducted here.
